Bookshop Summary:

A cautious introduction and endorsement of the partial preterist view of eschatology. Tantilizing in that it fails to take the case to the fullest possible extent.

A review of R. C. Sproul's
The Last Days According to Jesus

With so many cockroaches like Grant Jeffrey crawling around spreading bad information like the plague, this newest book by Sproul presents a convincing and useful case for preterist eschatology (the idea that much of biblical prophecy that we sometimes think of as to be fulfilled in the future was actually fulfilled with the fall of Jerusalem) that has won me over. My only problem is that Sproul leaves far too much unsaid. We can not blame him for this, because this book is essentially programmatic in nature and thus can only serve as an introduction to a position that many of Sproul's evangelical readers will find strange. But we may appreciate that Sproul has stuck his neck out for us. I certainly won't be wielding the axe of the executioner on this one. Read this book with an open mind and heart.
