Tekton Apologetics Ministries has been recognized as a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization in the United States, and as a charitable organization by the Charities Aid Foundation in Great Britain. As a 501(c)(3) organization, Tekton Apologetics Ministries is required to adhere to certain guidelines. One of these is that the majority of our support must come from the general public.

We earn referral fees through our association with and sale of books. One way you may support us is by buying material through the site through various book review links. But this is called "unrelated business income" and cannot constitute the majority of this ministry's support.

Our Need

In order to keep this a full-time ministry we will need to maintain a specific level of financing. If this is not met the ministry will return to being a venture done in what time can be spared, which would amount to perhaps 5 hours per week.

We offer a summary of our projects on an annual basis.

At present the Tekton site hosts approximately 55,000 user sessions per month. We do not consider it out of line to note that we believe that this ministry has been effective and useful to a great number of people. If you believe this ministry warrants your support, please read on.

Instructions for Donation

To ensure the highest level of fiscal responsibility, all donations made by mail should be made by check. This will ensure that we have a clear return address to send you a receipt for tax purposes. If you choose some other form of donation you should include your return address.

Checks must be made out to Tekton Apologetics Ministries. Please do not write them out to a personal name.

Because we are a 501(c)(3) organization, all donations are tax-deductible. We will gladly send you a receipt for tax purposes upon request, or, automatically if the donation exceeds the prescribed amount designated by the IRS for you to require a receipt as documentation. Please request a receipt if you want one. As of January 1, 2001, receipts will be sent at the end of the calendar year for total donations during the year, unless otherwise requested.

Use of Donations

Tekton is a full-time ministry. Your donations will help keep it a full-time ministry and allow us to continue producing material at an accelerated pace (per the information in the Manifesto link above). In addition, your support will help in these areas:

  1. Rental of server space and Internet access. This costs about $40 per month.
  2. Purchase of research materials and books. If someone wants me to evaluate a book, for example, I can purchase it from Amazon or elsewhere if it is not readily available through local libraries.
  3. Bureaucracy. State and local fees for having a non-profit organization and submission of various annual reports...this will cost about $225 per year.
  4. Postage (so I can send out receipts) and supplies (the receipts themselves, envelopes to send them in). This should amount to less that $100 per year.

Statement of Intent

Tekton Apologetics Ministries, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of Florida on April 28, 2000. It is our personal desire to maintain the highest standards of fiscal responsibility and we will willingly provide a full accounting of all donations receved and of our expenditures upon request.

Please contact me with any you have...and thank you for whatever gracious support you may offer.

Your servant in Christ,

James Patrick Holding
