Once we note redcactive emphases -- Matthew's focus on the disciples as a group; Mark's/Peter's eyewitness account of Jesus looking around (a gesture that is far less indicative than Matthew's sweep of the hand, which may actually allude back to the healing of the withered man's hand a few lines back) and Luke's compression -- we get:
