And they-send to-him some of-the Pharisees and the Herodians that him they-might-catch (64) word. they and coming say to-him Teacher we-know that truthful you-are not care to-you about no-one but on truth the way of God teach. Is-it-allowed tribute to-Caesar to-give or not? Should-we-give or not give? he But knowing their hypocrisy said to-them Why me you-tempt? Bring me denarius that-I-may see. they And brought (5342). And he-says to-them Whose image this and that inscription? they And said to-him Caesar's. And answering the Jesus said to-them Give-over the things Caesar to Caesar and the things of-God to God. And they-marveled at-him. |

And having-watched-carefully they-sent spies pretending themselves righteous to-be that they-might-seize (1949) of-him a word to deliver-up him to power and to authority of governor. And they-questioned him saying Teacher we-know that rightly you-speak and teach and not do-receive face but upon truth the way of God you-teach. Is-it-allowed for-us to-Caesar tribute to-give or not? perceiving And of-them the slyness he-said to-them Why me do-you-tempt? Show me denarius of-whom has image and inscription? And they-said of Caesar. he And said to-them Give-over then the things Caesar to Caesar and the things of-God to God. And not they-were-able to-lay-hold of-him speech before the people and having-marveled at the answer of-him they-were-silent. |
Different Greek words for "bringing" and for "seize" and the varied order of phrases allies against direct copying and speaks to an original Aramaic source.
